Auburn Parks and Recreation invites community to annual Fright Night Movie Event at Lake Wilmore Park

AUBURN, Ala. – The Fright Night Movie Event returns to Auburn this October, offering families and movie enthusiasts a free evening of outdoor entertainment and Halloween fun. Hosted by the City of Auburn Parks and Recreation, the event will take place on Friday, Oct. 16, at the Lake Wilmore Park Athletic Fields, located at 2101 Grove Hill Road.
Guests are encouraged to bring blankets or lawn chairs and enjoy a double feature under the stars. The evening will begin at 6:45 p.m. with the family favorite, "Casper," followed by the horror classic, "Candyman," at 8:30 p.m.
The event is free and open to the public and will feature complimentary popcorn as well as having food available for purchase. Organizers ask attendees to note that pets will not be permitted at the event to help ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for all guests.
The Fright Night Movie Event will be held rain or shine. In the event of inclement weather, all activities and movie screenings will move indoors to the Lake Wilmore Park Recreation Center gymnasium.
